I was just going thru a lot of my photos of Steven and I. I really miss him so much. So many great nights spent at ZANZIBAR studio check out the decadence on the link below...... oh and lots of Dali and other spectacular people. Scroll thru the archive and you will find me ;) I have so many photos I haven't put up online because they are just crazy uber arty and I don't really feel comfortable putting online. However, if you go to his show you will see them and of course if you come to my house XOX BQ http://stevenarnoldarchive.com
Another great editorial. This is why I am so picky about images and who I work with (models and photographers). A picture tells a story. A picture says a thousand words. It reflects your designs and is a reflection of who you are as an artist. Always put your best foot forward. There is nothing worse than poor hair and make up and cheap fabrics. I am especially neurotic about make up because I was a MUA for so many years. When I see poor make up I don't even look at the clothes. I'm also very picky about fabrics. (lets just say I'm not on board the disposable clothing band wagon) I want something of value that I can cherish. I've really upped my game as far as my textile collection goes. I can't wait to share some of my new arrivals. I love this shoot it's perfect. **** On another note besides my studio which consists of Victorian, Edwardian thru the 30's I have 7 closets in a row in this Victorian house of mine. Each contain a different era. I have the first one which is all of my 70's and 80's Mugler and
Alaïa and designers of that era. Then I have a closet that is entirely Free People LOL. Then the kimono closet with over 50 pieces dating back to the 20's. (one of the perks of having an Asian ex husband) We bought a lot while traveling. Those I wear and might sell a few (some were purchased in Japan). It goes on until closet 7 which is lingerie. Closets one and 2 I'm going to be letting a few things go. I have tons of new Free People jeans brocade ones as well. I cannot fit into them so if you are interested LMK size 26 -27. I'm also selling some of my shoes I have 275 pairs of designer shoes about 50 Prada, Christian Louboutin and some really collectable ones as well. All different designers. I wear a 39 1/2. Contact me direct because I'm not listing online. I have so much new inventory I have no more space. What I don't sell I'm putting on consignment in Austin. Contact me this month before I go on my buying trip. xo BQ P.S. If you do want photos give me a couple of days because I'm deep in sewing land so it might take me a bit.
