I first met Tony Curtis when I worked as a make-up artist at Georgette Klinger on Rodeo Drive in Beverly hills around 1988. He was very charming and we became pals. At the time he was living in a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I went there several times for dinner and he had a mad art collection. He is quite the artist. I'm lucky to have met him he is such a talent. Growing up Houdini was always one of my favorite movies.
Working from home today- You can see a my poor little Verushka Kitty who has to lay on a towel and heating pad now- This may be one of here final photos- Nico I woke from her nap so she's has "grumpy Face"
Anyway......posting some 110.00 and under jewels on Etsy today.
These pics were taken a few months back. No make-up in the early morning. Serious fashion talk goin on LOL! I'm wearing under my coat a rare 1950's Dior lime green tunic that was given to me by a boyfriend in 1987-I love it and I can't believe I still wear it. * Note the flower in my hand too funny.
I'm not crazy about the phrase "On Trend" it just doesn't sit right with me. Last night while watching E I discovered that large exposed zippers are "on trend" I suppose I should just go with the flow. All of these Boudoir Queen designs have the exposed large zipper. They are some of my favorites and a few were made custom for stage. We have also made this style with skirts and tops as well.

As many of my blog readers know Bette Davis is one of my all time favorite actresses. I have been seriously ill over the past week and I have had plenty of time to catch up on all my favorite movie classics. I love how she wore red to the ball. It reminds me of how I wore a long black Marchessa dress and large Bianca Jagger style black veil/hat to my wedding and some in attendance were agast. I had forgotten how many gorgeous dresses were in the movie. This movie was made the year before Gone with The Wind. If you like Southern Belle Style with a twist you will like this movie.
Our new collection is being launched on www.theboudoirqueen and in our Etsy shop this weekend- The photo shoot is tomorrow. We are photographing the lovely Dagny and a new model Sarah Frank. I'm hoping everyone will love this collection as much as I do. I've been ill for the past few days so I didn't get to spend as much time on props as I normally do. We have a lot of jewelry and a lot of new designs. Boudoir Queen shines in the Spring/Summer it's our favorite time to design! We have closed our Etsy shop for re-stocking. Many of the items you have previously seen will not be returning. A few items are being re photographed.
