I'm busy working on the lavender lounge today. I'm excited about starting the painting on the other wing of the house soon. We are planning a mini costume ball ;)

I'm proud to announce that I have a Spring 2012 Capsule Collection coming out that will consist of accessory's made by yours truly. As many of you know I rarely have the time to make collections all by myself and when I do they are usually over the top crazy like the crown on my website. I'm doing this collection for retail for something special but I've decided to make a collection for my online customers as well. We are coming out with a new line of cocktail hats, gloves, belts and several other items soon to be revealed. Other news: One thing I'm not fond of is designers using themselves as models. I've always thought it a bit amateurish. I am impressed with the new blogs such as advanced style showing older woman modeling instead of super young models. I can't tell you how many emails I get with people wanting me to model my clothes. Especially since I was once a model. I also get email about customers wishing I didn't use professional models all the time. I'm certainly not going to start "modeling" but I think it's an interesting concept to show how women of a certain age (40's and up)can look in these very "arty garments" I sell. That being said I am going to show a few looks once a month of me showing all of you how to wear all of these fabulous designs we have on our site. We will also be doing some videos. I'm selling the new collection in L.A. so if your interested email me and I'll let you know where to buy. You can also buy Boudoir Queen a The Banker's Suite in Astoria and in NYC. Contact me direct for information as we will not be putting it up online.
This photo was up on the Italian Vogue site and it has certainly inspired me I have often said that I should pull a Hugh Hefner and only wear my fabulous 20's lounge wear. After all I am the Boudoir Queen so I guess if anyone could get away with it it would be me right? Ha ha......well in a perfect BQ world I would love to only wear lingerie but honestly my collection is a bit out of control. I'm happy to be able to share some of my collection with my fabulous customers. That being said I am listing a lot of new pieces from my private collection today on www.theboudoirqueen.com. We also have just listed our more affordable designs on Etsy. We are mostly putting our higher end and vintage up on my website. Stay tuned more blogging shortly!
These faboo BQ Arm Cuffs are back from NYC and up on Etsy-
I had big plans for today's listings and blog. I've been editing photos ALL DAY and guess what? The cables out in my area ;( So I'm on my wireless laptop thru verizon. I'm hoping the cable goes back on because all the images are on the main computer which has a cable modem arg!! Keep checking my shops the photos are half added.....annoying!
Order now if you want yours before Halloween. We have them up in our www.theboudoirqueen.com online shop and they are going fast. 40 available 15 left (THANK YOU VOGUE ITALIA) we are doing custom.
FYI* we have successfully moved all of our customers over to our www.theboudoirqueen.com shop. We are doing retail now and phasing out the etsy thing. I've left etsy open so people know where to buy but I'm not leaving the store on for long. Stay tuned because I have some new news and some vintage offerings from the blog later this afternoon.
You may have noticed the fabulous Monocles used in this shoot. We will be presenting our new monocle earrings and we have this fabulous necklace in our Etsy Shop and Website Now! If you want to pre order just ask me-
We only have a couple more pieces available from the show that are currently listed. I have to admit I've been holding out. I just got all the goodies back from NYC today. I have lots of fabulous skirts gorge BQ Queen bustier's lots of vintage and some amazing Jewelry pieces (several actually that have not been seen or listed) ******I have a new accessory collection as well. A glove/hat collection that we've been doing for awhile you may have seen a few bits of them in photos/magazines. I unfortunately cannot put everything we are doing online until it's been in print due big time knock offs of my accessories Anyway I'm excited that I'll finally be showing them off very very soon!
So I'm sure after seeing photos of me during fashion week people are probably thinking "What the hell is going on with her hair" It seems like every time I post a picture I'm in work mode. No time for me to look good as I'm too busy making models look good. (such is life) The good news is my hair is finally growing after the 6 months of extentions and cutting all the over-bleached hair off. I have had to rock this Stevie Nicks hair cut but I think in a couple months it's going to look better than ever. Usually during the day as boring as it may sound I wear my hair in a bun which my husband loathes. I have made a vow to not cut my hair until fashion week next year.I'm getting it cut in NYC and I want to have a lot of length. During this process I'm kind of loving these hairstyles and I think I will try this rather than the bun. Very cool I think.
