I'm prepping for Friday's shoot and the arrival of Miss Laurel tomorrow here from NYC. Since I've almost sold out of the new goodies I really want to keep this dress. I've had a lot of interest in it but it's very tempting!! Stay tuned for new goodies over the New Years Holiday!
All of the above coming soon and this will be in the next shoot ask me about it-HOLLY'S HARP pale pink velvet gold lame egyptian jacket with gold tassels early nymph label- 60's Hollywood Boutique
***I'm doing a style video and I'm super excited about it. So many great things are happening in January! Now back to the turkey....we are having the whole family over tonight and tomorrw.
Today is going to be crazy busy. I'm working a full day with Miss Shanny in the studio. We will be doing some final touches for the shoot and BQ film on Tuesday. I'm also getting the house/yard as ready as I can for filming. Seems like everyone is coming....it's turned into quite an event!
You might remember my blog a month or so ago where I mentioned that I was going to start doing video's. Well the time has come. We are doing a shoot next week and the fabulous J.J. Castillo will be shooting a video at the same time!! The Dapper Tramp will be here to help style this shoot. One of the models is the daughter of rock royalty and the other a well known face in the Austin fashion scene. Keep in mind I'm in the middle of our house renovation but we will be shooting directly from the BQ mini mansion. I'll have lot's of vintage offerings and new BQ styles that will be up on our site next week. P.S. I can't believe it's already time to be thinking about fashion week!!
I made the ultimate vintage score yesterday. I'll be shooting everything in our upcoming shoot and most of it should be up by next thursday. I've pretty much sold out of everything online and I will update my website next week.
Ok.......it is Lucille Ball however all of the girls had on the same blonde wig so it's very hard to tell who's who. Great pic though. Thanks to my friend Frauwulf for sharing it with me. It's been a hit on facebook today.
I really like to keep updated on all that is happening in fashion. I always try and keep my line fresh. Always changing but at the same time maintaining the Boudoir Queen aesthetic. I received a Free People gift certificate. Yesterday I was off to the Domain to see what I could find. For obvious reasons I came home with the velvet bell bottoms. They go perfectly with all that is BQ. They do run big. I came home with a size 24 which is making me feeling really good right now. Anyway I was surprised at the use of so much synthetic fabrics on some of the fancier items I saw in the catalog. Years ago I used to shop at this store in Santa Monica. They were just a small store that had a lot of knit wear. When I start boutique mass production (oops did I just say that) hint hint I'm going to focus on the quality of fabrics for sure. Also after leaving the store I feel very good about my prices and fabrics .....in fact I'm feeling like I should raise my prices but I won't. Also I'm excited that I will be working with one of the photogs who shot one of the catalogs. I can't wait.
