Good things come in Three's
They say when things happen they come in 3's. Yesterday was truly my lucky day. Three things happend right after another. Big things like getting something unexpected in the mail then something else which I'll share later and then an offer on our Austin house. Today we got up early went to breakfast and headed out for an antique road trip. I found yet another treasure trove of gowns. I have one dress like an outfit that Paz wore on Boardwalk Empire. Funny Mark bought me season one and I was watching it last week and commented on this dress and then I found one.It's a rare piece too! The power of positive thinkng! Also today I found a store that carries reproduction 1880's Victorian boots. Normally I loathe repro's but lets face it most people cant even get their big toe into Victorian and 20's shoes. Anyway these are nice and they have all colors and sizes for 118.00. I bought every color and they have a low heel and come up mid calf exactly like the real ones. I'm really excited about them. Oh the better to see you with
I had a great day today. We had to go into Austin to pick up my new Tom Ford glasses (happy face) Since I wear glasses all the time now I finally bought some really cool ones. It feels good. I've been wearing those other glasses for two years. While shopping we ran in o our friend from the GoGo's and Mr. Goudie which was nice. I'm looking forward to next month we're invited to see JoanJett again and staying over with the band in a fab hotel. I'll take a few pics for the blog. I love seeing Steph she works in NYC in the garment district and her hubby is Joan's drummer and also used to be the drummer for Billy Idol. We love them! On the way home we stopped at a little shop along the way and found a jackpot of Edwardian dresses perfect for my Pastel Perfume Collection. I'll have some new dresses coming soon

Mood/Style:
Riccardo Tisci, designer at Givenchy, presented a collection full of contrasts: 20s and 30s glamour, Art Deco, the aesthetic of the Fritz Lang film Metropolis, the Soviet constructivist philosophy of Aelita, Protazanov’s cult movie, and techno influences. There were ten looks, all decorated with geometric motifs and details in metal, in a hyper-feminine, graphic style with a futuristic spin – like the tuxedo jacket in crocodile cut like a puzzle, which had been lightened and remounted on tulle and decorated with Deco motifs, or the satin dress completely embroidered in crystals with tiny sequins inside
