We just sold one of these from my blog- and since we're making it I'll do 2 more and then that's it! Be sure to ask me about trims-comes in white and tea stain
Check out our fabulous couture show from last year! I love the fabrics we bought in NYC-Several of these pieces have been in editorials including the mask in Italian Vogue. Be sure to contact me about stores where Boudoir Queen can be purchased. We only put our one offs online now!
I've finally decided on my color choices for 3 different projects I'm working on. It's difficult picking fabric for each one because each is totally different from the other. All I can say are two things "Saint Martins in London" and YES I will make a capsule line for your company WOW -stay tuned on this because I'm really excited about new things that are happening at Boudoir Queen ;) Also new press!!
We have sold so many of these cuff and headband sets from 2009 and we have one last set available in this color- The dress of course is from the Vogue shoot- Read more about it on our FB and Twitter
After this trip we have decided we have to have new phones. Hardly any of our photos turned out. Both of the cameras on our phones have basically bitten the dust. Also I will reveal my new look before SXSW. I haven't had a haircut since July and my hair hasn't been colored in 6 weeks. Marks hair was so bad he had to wear a hat. Anyway we are getting new do's next week and I cannot wait- I know hair talk is a bore but my husband was annoyed I posted bad pics of him so here's a bad one of me ;) Eyes closed -lips Pursed
For those of you who may not have wristbands our friends from the Cult are playing the Auditorium Shores for sxsw. Now we just talked to them and there are playing a few shows. Special ones ;). Mark is also doing a show- I hate to sound spoiled but I am lol. I usually only go to show where we have VIP passes. I'm just to old to be standing out in the mass of concert goers. That being said Marks old management is also Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks managers. Tom is coming to Austin in a few weeks after SXSW and that will be awesome. I mean ever song is a hit!
Nominee Rooney Mara was definitely one of the Oscars' best dressed Sunday. She wore a couture Givenchy made expressly for her. Love Givenchy especially their dresses in white. If you've been reading my twitter you know all about my feelings on white this season. BTW I know I've mentioned that the director David Fincher of girl with the dragon tattoo also directed Cradle of love. I can't wait for the sequel. We are going to the premiere.
Yesterday we finished up some playful spring dresses. Classic B-Queen. We will not be listing much until the end of next month. Our new collection for fashion week will be like no other collection we have done thus far. I'm going all out this year. I'm also excited that I have half of my models 5 months in advance. I've done so many shows now I know exactly who I want. You might even see a special guest in my show this year :) Also I'll be messing around with my website today. Keep checking back......
I loved all of these gowns. As far as Angelina's dress I would have like it even more if she would have kept her leg inside it. I'm not sure what that was all about.
Just got home from having a fabulous time with Joan Jett and the Black Hearts. It was really great seeing all of our friends! Pre-party-Concert-soho club and after party what a night! Everyones here today working on the collection.....so tired! It was worth it though ;) P.s sorry about the blurr but it was a moving stage-It was soooo windy so our hair looks all a mess. Very difficult to get a lot of photos and we were just having to much fun so this is it. Inside the wild bus OMG With The Black Hearts and friends
Tonight is the big Joan nite we're on the River Walk in San Antonio with the band. It's going to be fun riding the tour bus with them to a gig and then a party and BBQ the next day. I'll post pictures when I return.I start my new collection Sunday Morning ....whew gotta pace myself! Oh and then 2 weeks from now the cult is coming to town for sxsw.......lordy that is going to be 3 days of fun as well.
Shannon and I and the new team are starting our all new collection for the show this Sunday. I can't wait. I'm doing all of my silly drawings and sketches. I've done so much research and have some great study pieces from my NYC trip and L.A. I'm excited about going a little different direction again this year.
We made this top about 2 months ago. I haven't shown it because I was thinking about keeping it for myself. As I was looking thru the Kirchhoff Collection I instantly thought of it. I love this look and check out those dotted metallic and green sleeves. 20's fabric on the arms with an edwardian base backed in chiffon and mottled dye. Flower accents and metallic cuff detail. Love love love!
My fabulously stylish and decadent friend Inger had an amazing party and I noticed this wonderful photo. Of course it caught my eye because I collect loungers and cloches. After careful inspection I noticed my Boudoir Queen headband that has been in Karen Elson's video, Clash Magazine and worn at a Citizen's Band Show. It's also been worn by various recording artists on stage. See if you can spot it. BTW the lovely lady wearing it is Inger's mother. So as you can see these can be worn by women of every age group and it looks divine!
Patty Griffin on the set of her video styled by yours truly. You can also see my fabulous red velvet victorian mourning shadow box in the background. I'm noticing the drapes look exactly like the ones in my dining room which came from Venice Italy. Dress-cuffs and necklace all BQ. The same cuffs were also made for Imogen Heap.
Change of plans.....going tomorrow too much shipping today. Thanks everyone for paying off your layaways while I was sleeping! BTW I love living next door to the post office. A sellers dream!
BQ Silken Gowns Gee I guess I should put more pics up with me and the horses. My FB exploded today. Thank you! I also had mega hits on this blog as well. I did a little extra as I will not be on tomorrow. I have a huge day in Austin. Have a great night! P.S. I'm picking up more vintage tomorrow in preparation for our mid March Update.
