My hommage to Steven Arnold The second Image is the original nude he took of me cropped. We always used Steven's props except for on this rare occasion. I brought these doll hand mirrors for some reason. You can see we used again in the same pose with Sara Cummings photo by Mark Younger-Smith
I totally forgot to mention that I have to retract last weeks hair blog. I had this on my blog list and since I've not been updating this week I'm doing it now. After seeing this on d listed an image of porn star Jenna Jameson Teal=Tacky and I am taking back what I said about liking it. Oh lord this is bad. After discussing with my hairdresser who is coming to our home on wednesday I have a totally new goal. I hate even putting this on my beautiful blog but it pretty much says it all :(
Yes it's that time again Texas Antique week. Marburger Farms, Round Top and all the rest of the miles and miles of antiques. It's just in time for my vintage web update which we are madly working on now. The big news is yes we are taking our brand finally to Texas Antique Week. Our Vintage- because it truly is and always has been my true passion. All of the Vogue magazine editorials and such are great but I love antique shopping and my Boudoir Queen Extravaganza will be like no other you can count on that! Today's big find was a possible Fortuny and loads of gorgeous trims and textiles. I saw everyone out there today it was awesome and such beautiful weather. My husband took a photo of the Peacock Taxidermy which I've seen featured in many fashion magazines. Makes me sad because I want a live peacock. I'm also working on a bunny run and a hen house which we will be talking more about in a future blog lol.
I have to say congratulations to my husband. I've forced him to take all of my BQ images all these years and it's payed off. He's been hired to shoot for the Statesman Magazine and others. We get so many complements on his photos! Thank you My love.
Stay tuned I may possibly have some new offerings up tomorrow. We have hundreds of vintage pieces and getting everything perfect has just taken longer than expected.
I love all of these photos. The one of Steven and I goes something like this: I was actually nude and he was photographing me for his new book and he jumped in and did a portrait of the two of us. It's an odd angle because it's a photograph of the photograph thats hanging in my home. The last picture was PRE Rocky Horror.....Be sure to go to Steven's site and download the new PDF to see lots of new images and text.

After all these years I still love pastel hair. At the age of 14 my hair was pink and at the age of 49 my hair is pink who would have thunk it? I love all colored hair for the exception of purple or lavender. Which has been played OUT. My new fav is sea foam and I hope to achieve this by fashion week.
Yesterday was awesome and I'm still recouping from it. The day started with the private rock and Roll BBQ out in the country with and exclusive guest list. BP Fallon played with Clem Burke and Nigel Harrison from Blondie and one of the members of Iggy Pop and the Stooges played. It was poetic and very cool. It reminded me of being in a punk club in the 80's very Patti Smith vibe except for the horses and goats. Then Michael Des Barres blew the roof off the building. I enjoyed talking for awhile with Pamela Des Barres and Polly Parsons which was a lot of fun. I also saw a lot of old friends and made many new ones who love Boudoir Queen clothing so I'm thrilled to have some very interesting new friends. Then around 10:00 we went with one of Lemmy's guitar players and the fabulous Ruby James over to Justine's for a late night dinner. We met Charlie Sexton and his fabulous fiance there. So funny to run into them and they were there with Jacob Dylan (Bob Dylan's son) from the Wallflowers. Mark was in a band with Charlie when he was 16 wow! Time just really goes so quickly. Pamela is having a writers workshop tomorrow which I would really love to attend. I'm working on my website now so it's difficult to get away but I'll see. Stay tuned so many things are going on right now. It's nap time for me!
We had to shoot this dress for something special and this is the only sneak peek of the new garments. Without giving anything away as everything is one of a kind and totally different this year....this is a dress from Boudoir Queen's new collection. It will be available for pre sale and available May 13th for shipping. Adjustable size it was large on the model. Beads and feathers from the 20's fabulous hand dyed silk chiffon. BTW we don't normally use patterns. Everything is draped to perfection. We are updating our sites over the next two weeks with lots of new vintage and our spring 2013 collection. Price changes and much more. P.S. We are currently working on the all new T shirt designs!
We left the Stylecaster party and all petty cabbed it to Holy Mountain to see our friend Erike D.J. OMG wish there was a picture of all the style divas riding the cabs it was hilarious. I'm here with my very special friend Stephen MacMillan Moser , Miguel and yours truly. Oooooh this was very late and two more parties after. We also went out with our fabulous friends Sara Cummings and Autry from Trail of the Dead hopefully more photos will turn up we were having to much fun to think about it. It was my nite and we had a blast! Out and about for Iggy Pop now and tomorrow all day seeing some bands my husband is interested in producing. SXSW is always so much fun. Love it!
I'm also a sucker for Mary Janes and especially a classic Manolo Blahnik Patent Leather Mary Jane. I don't usually buy brown but that's why I got them they go great with all my leopard especially my coat and the stole! I bought mine at Neimans's but you can get on style cure and other places for less.
