I just got home from the salon with my new fabulous hot pink and blonde hair color and my lingerie shipment arrived. It is way better than I expected and every piece has batwings down to the ankles. It's been in an old steam trunk for decades. It's just in time. I have 2 shoots in a week. One small shoot and one major league shoot that I'm over the top excited about. I'll update my store later. A lot of items are going to a T.V. series and a lot will be removed from the shop. I should have my new listings up by Feb 4th
Hi everyone I have some fabulous lamps that I'm selling for a very talented artist. These are just a few quick snaps I'm having professional photos coming shortly. If you want first choice before I list contact me direct. Handmade lampshades by Ruth Carter of Austin Texas. Silks, vintage fabrics, an occasional exquisite cotton, and all hand sewn, these are all one of a kind lampshades. Ruth has
made lampshades for Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, as well as a dozen other industry "insiders" who know of her quality originals. All
glass beads, no acrylic….no glue…these are old school, double needle sewn from the lining to the trims.
Today I was offered some very rare Hollywood Style 1920's lingerie. Pieces you don't find that often. They have been untouched and stored in a steamer trunk since the early 20's. Of coarse I bought all of it.(I can't turn down rare lingerie) I'll let you all know when it arrives I will have to have everything professionally cleaned I'm sure. My beauty article will be out on the 4th of December for Austin Fusion lot's of interesting beauty tips for the new year. One of the perks of being a beauty and fashion editor is that many brands have sent me products to try out. I'm excited to tell you all about them. I've also been working for days on our magazine shoot for February. It just keeps growing and growing with an amazing team. Of course I am including some queenery so save you're money. I have some fabulous offerings including pieces from the set design! xo BQ
It's 8:45 and I have already been up working for 3 hours on the magazine shoot. I guess I can't complain going thru mountains of fabulous clothing to pull is pretty fun. It's like shopping. The problem is I will end up buying things from this shoot and you'll see why in February. We have a band that drove in from Dallas last night. Recording a record and staying in the loft. A big band. I'm not really suppose to talk about it but I have a house full of guys until monday. I think I'll hide out in BQ headquarters and get my article finished for December. I purchased a lot of gifts online that still haven't arrived for Christmas. I'm on pins and needles waiting for the mailman. I have a huge Neimans box sitting in my living room. A gift from my mother. I'm so bad....I keep thinking about peeking. I'm under strict orders to not open until Christmas which makes me want to look even more.
Boudoir Queen has been published for many years. Check out our bed jackets (in VOGUE as well) and silken lace tops in ELLE. We also made fabulous embellished custom jeans. Sold hundreds even sold in the Dubai mall/ Saks I still have the jeans on the far right and the far left because I used my own and saved. (ask me because they are too small now) One pair has Victorian voided velvet from a Victorian bodice going up the entire leg. Bell bottom style with velvet crowns and tassels on the leg. The other is covered in hand dyed Victorian lace, piano shawl and metallic lace. We made cuffs to go with (long before they became popular) Just like when we made our ankle cuffs, as a test we did an extensive google search and there was nothing like the textile cuffs we were doing. Within 2 weeks wide spread knock offs on Etsy. There should be a photo on the link I posted of my very old website of the crown jeans. We have a new editorial coming out. It will be quite shocking so stay tuned ;) P.S. Patty Griffin owns several of the tops featured here. She rocked Boudoir Queen hard!!
This will be my new hair sans the purple. I loathe purple hair. I'm having a few inches cut off and it will look like this. I'm mainly putting this up so I can show my hairdresser at my appointment. I love pastels and pink hair on blondes. Its fun and doesn't look so soccer mom. I can get away with it with my job. It also fades very fast and in 3 weeks I'm platinum again. I can't wait! I have two inches of darkness right now and it's ugly! I'll share pics on New Years Eve.
