The first image is part of a custom dress we made for a client about 6 years ago. Didn't get a chance to photograph the Eye of Horus fabric but I thought I'd post. I'm dumping everything off my desktop for the photoshoot ;) I'm so ready to start listing it's been awhile. I did enjoy taking a break and traveling. After this we have a special guest coming to stay so I have to get me and my house in tip top condition. More on that later. Check back tomorrow night!! Of course we will make a video like last time. I always post the video's on my FB not here.
We are so excited to have Boudoir Queen heavily featured in Trish Bright's fabulous new MUSEUM OF WHIMSY. Trish has been a long time customer and friend. She has an extensive collection of Boudoir Queen and I'm very proud that she has included it in her new museum. The great Britain Journal has written a great article and gave us a mention. The two headdresses above are ours. For more details on location pop me a email.
This is Rodarte available upon inquiry. We made a dress that looks a lot like this awhile back. A 80's lace flashback this look was so popular then and has made a comeback. Ours will be available. I'm leaving and will be returning in a couple of days. Getting business done! I have to photograph this on a model so when I return xo BQ
The past few days we have been designing away. I couldn't resist buying this cape to go with some of our new BQ pieces and one more pair of shoes ;). I took advantage of the Labor Day sales and bought a new sofa as well. A modern one. I love modern furniture and art mixed with antiques just like I love modern clothing in combination with vintage clothing. With our extra time I pulled a lot of my older clothes from seasons past. I had Shannon re-work all my pants and dresses. This is a helpful hint if you want to make you're clothing more current. We took my floral loose fitting pants cropped them and added a ruffle with it shorter in the front. So cute and looks like the new Gucci designs but without the cost. Looks great with my new Miu Miu boots. All my jeans with holes we appliquéd french fabrics in the shapes of butterflies & hearts. We chopped and redesigned several tops doing the one sleeve lace look thats so popular like Saint Laurent and Rodarte. This is a fun look sort of 80's punk meets Princess Diana again no cost involved. I'll post images when I do my shoot. I hope all of you have a great holiday. I'm off now to have some fun ;) cheers BQ P.S. If you read my FB posts we are are doing capes this season unlike anything we've made in the past. I'm only doing a small run so ask me if you want to pre-order.
