Oh my goodness just a brief post- I know I keep saying I'm going to stop doing this but Ive agreed for a movie to film at the house next week. I just can't say no. I'm busy getting certain rooms together and I bought some new furniture which makes me even more inspired. Our house has seven 100 year old trees surrounding the property not including a 120 years old crepe myrtle and a magnolia. The leaves are falling and fall at my house looks like Grey Gardens its a nightmare. While I'm complaining I woke up to the dreaded cold Victorian home today. I loathe winters here. In fact we're thinking of going somewhere tropical for Christmas since my son won't be here. Due to the size of the house we have 3 separate air conditioning and heating units. One in the main part of the house a separate one for the original wing and the third in the studio and loft. Running it drys out my skin so I choose to freeze. Meanwhile.... I had a great weekend went out again with some friends in Bastrop eeew. I'd post the image (but its horrible of me) my friend is so handsome Mark was even jealous lol it's good for him. He's my doctors son and we all went out. Im starting back on my health routine today while Im working on my home. Water water water and lots of exercise moving clothing boxes and furniture. P.S. My 10 page article is coming out this summer. They plan practically a year in advance. Thats ok I'll have great press for fall which is the best time anyway. Have a great week! xo BQ Ok here's a little pic of Nathan I cut myself out he's like 6'4? Tall drink of water Have a great day BQ xox
You can view this funny video of Jimmy, me and Harper on Mark's FB Page. Backgound- He is hilarious. He dated Cher for along time just saying that because who dates Cher right! (he's the man that knows everyone) He was also a rock n roller in L.A in the eighties and on Million Dollar Listing show in Los Angeles. He and his wife are very inspiring and I love having them in our lives. He has a new movie coming out which my husband will be in (small part). The matradee at Justines who's real job is being a director is shooting it. Olivier is fabulous he was helping me with my French last night. I hope he's not teaching me naughty words lol. I'll be sure to post about it.
Going back more than 150 years to 19th century Victorian London, it all started with an orphan street sweeper and rat catcher named Henry Croft, who was taken under the wing of the Costmongers of Spitalfields market; a proud breed of apple sellers in the East end. Croft learned from their way of life and their role in the community as caretakers of the poor. They were also known for their unique smoked pearl buttons sewed onto the seems of their tattered clothes in an attempt to imitate the pearly fashions of the wealthy.
So I had to go into an intensive day in Austin today. I don't really want to go into detail. Lets say I deserved some beauty product shopping therapy after choring. I went to a place I love for lots of essential oils, roses, bath oils, lip and nail products and hair products. Tonight I'll be trying to clean myself up. I had so much fun with my French friends I got to be a front woman in a band lol. I finally got my voice back today. I had Pierre owner at my fav place on guitar a French drummer and French girl my new friend on base guitar. This was interesting because my French is not so good ;( It was a blast. They enjoyed my voice a lot more than Mark haha. I'm so ready for Red Horse retreat with all of our friends. Fabulous food, love, light and friendship.

Hi everyone, OMG so Im still recovering from Saturday. I kid you not there must have been 700 people maybe more?? It was insane and everyone flipped over my clothing. Ive removed a lot from my site that sold but I didn't take my higher end vintage I mainly took all the velvet coats that I hated the photographs of and sold every one of them. All the velvets tons of lingerie. Sold all the chandelier necklaces -many many headbands and cuffs. Sold all of the red cherry bomb collection, 6 pieces and all but one flower slip. I could go on and on sold a years worth of clothing and I still have my best since I decided not to take a lot that I had great photos of. I saw so many people and met many of my local followers and for those who didn't know Boudoir Queen in Austin they sure know now. We even had people from out of town show up. It was a huge success. I wanted to close the shop because its going to take a couple weeks to get re organized but I have several layaways so I'll keep it open for now. I was happy to sell a lot that I had at the studio in boxes to put toward my new venture. Im sorry I didn't take any photos. I didn't have one single minute for a break. I was there from 9 to 11.I did manage to buy a few new pieces that are really good. 20's beaded Lame' coat. I'll be away we're doing our usual Red Horse Ranch for the holidays. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Looking forward to seeing my Austin friends/customers at Justine's tomorrow. I'm bringing a lot of things I don't have listed in fact mainly things I don't have listed. I will try and be as B-Queenly as possible but I have to leave at 7 a.m to set up so lets face it I'll be a tired mess. People have been asking me for years to do my jeans again. I'm bringing a few and I do have two pairs featured in Elle Magazine. I have tons of Edwardian lingerie it looks like a brothel bedroom here. After tomorrow we'll talk more about the new adventure. Ok back to work....

Well every cloud has a silver lining. My son arrived tonight so I'm really happy to see him. Today has been a serious long day. After being up all night with the elections I had to get up very early and go to Austin for a doctors appointment. I haven't been feeling well since last week and I had a UTI and a slight fever from it(ouch) and some other issues. That took several hours . Then we had to kill time Dylan's flight didn't come in until 6:15. We went to Nordstrom because I had my free Nordstrom notes. I bought about three really cute hair accessories. One super cute Gucci style bow for my hair. Then of course went to the make up counter. Bought some Lazlo and other beauty products all suffering with this UTI infection. Ate lunch picked up Dylan whose flight was late then by 8:00 made it to the pharmacy in Bastrop which took an hour then got Dylan food drove to our town. Came home answered emails and am feeling gross from all the meds I'm on. I'm allergic to Sulfa so I have to take really hardcore meds.I'm finally winding down wearing my new mask and going to bed early. EXHAUSTED!!!!! All orders are going out in the morning. I'm ready for a better day. xoxo BQ
