I was in the salon for 4 hours today. Exhausted from sitting! I love my hair when I leave in 2 weeks I'll probably be platinum again. My hair fades so fast. This time the entire front is super pink. It will be the perfect pastel shade after I wash it twice ;) P.S. whatever you do don't try this at home. You have to have platinum hair to get a really nice pastel. The front is multicolored and intricate. This isn't crazy color lol. I'll post again when I'm fixed up and Ive washed it . Also I'm closing my Etsy shop probably tomorrow. xo BQ
I'm happy that I don't deprive myself from much these days. Life is to short and I eat whatever I want in moderation. The one thing I'm thankful for is that I do not like sweets not at all. On my birthday my husband always wants to get me a cake and I have to say don't!!! I won't eat it! I probably haven't had a cookie or a slice of cake in years. I do have a weakness for cheese. I'm a Kombucha freak I drink one everyday. The one thing Ive noticed is it makes my nails grow. I feel bad because my husband loves sweets. We joke and say he's sweet I'm sour. Kombucha, flowers and candles are expensive habits I've acqiured. Anyway Ive been working out more. I was up until 2 the other night talking with my friend Summer. She's moving back to Austin for work. I can't wait my new work out buddy she's an exercising fiend. Getting my hair done again next week. Doesn't it seem like I just said that? Blonde hair is a pain... more later xo BQ
Hi everyone, Just got home. I'm sorry about not keeping up with the diary. I've been buying and meeting with lawyers about the new business and what with the birthday festivities I just haven't been around. I had a great birthday. Saw friends nice dinner and lots of shopping for vintage finery. Its a lucky thing everyone with the fabulous stores saves me things and call...... because it was slim pickings other than what my friends held for me. Austin is nothing like shopping in California. I can't wait for my trip. I have a great new source for furniture for the new place super excited. We should know any day about the particulars. Fingers still crossed. P.S. I have been sneaking around doing some photo shoots for spring ;) Speaking of which....Im going to be closing my shop for a bit. I'm still doing inventory and some new designs/restocking STILL and will open after Paris and Milan fashion week- Check back soon!
Here's a pair of shoes that I bought a couple of months ago. They were what I consider inexpensive I think around 125.00 somewhere around that price. I have to say that I get more compliments on these than many of my designer shoes. I wear them a lot!!
Janis Lyn Joplin January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970) was an influential American singer of the 1960s; her raw, powerful and uninhibited singing style, combined with her turbulent and emotional lifestyle, made her one of the biggest female stars in her lifetime. She died of an accidental drug overdose in 1970, aged 27, after releasing three albums. A fourth album, Pearl, was released a little more than three months after her death, reaching number 1 on the charts.
Joplin rose to fame in 1967 during an appearance at Monterey Pop Festival, as the lead singer of the then little-known San Francisco psychedelic rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company. After releasing two albums with the band, she left Big Brother to continue as a solo artist with her own backing groups, first the Kozmic Blues Band and then the Full Tilt Boogie Band. She appeared at the Woodstock festival and the Festival Express train tour. Five singles by Joplin went into the Billboard Top 100, including "Me and Bobby McGee", which reached number 1 in March 1971. Her most popular songs include: "Piece of My Heart"; "Cry Baby"; "Down on Me"; "Ball 'n' Chain"; "Summertime"; and "Mercedes Benz", the final song she recorded.

His influence is still felt today.

and so the Birthday begins tomorrow. Another chapter. This year I'm going to one of my favorite spas in California for several days. I'm not leaving now. I have business matter to attend to however, I'm looking forward to it very soon. It's a fabulous spa and I'm getting homesick for California. I need to visit my mother as well. When I go to Cali I can't just go to a spa because I'm from there its a big production. If I don't visit everyone I'm in trouble. My husband likes to spoil me. He has a surprise this year for the day of so I have no idea what to expect. Today I'm getting pampered a bit to get ready. I'm feeling like I just want a low key birthday this year. Waking up to the Presidential Inauguration doesn't make me thrilled.
