Today I'm taking a bit of a break. I haven't even unpacked from the week. I still have so many things to list! Lots of shipping to be done. Thank goodness I have help. I'm overwhelmed right now. The show was a huge success and I'm so very very happy. I'm doing a couple more shoots before I leave for L.A.-- A few more vintage shoots and some of the pieces we did not use for the show. I have gorgeous moodboards that I've been working on over the past 4 months and I'll try and post a few when I get a chance next week. Also I've opened my FB to the public because I simply cannot keep up with all of the images. So those of you who are not on FB can click on the link at the top of this blog and take a peek. If you are not one of my FB friends you will still be unable to view all the posts. Also I've updated my pinterest boards under Boudoir Queen 1 For now here is Boudoir Queen and our inspirations-
Boudoir Queen is being featured photos/article in the Summer Issue of Belle Armoire I think you can buy this at just about every bookstore in the U.S. This is our second feature with Stampington Magazines the last one was Altered Couture. I'll post details when it's out.
I've listed a few of the headbands already and several here. This is easier for me. I'm overwhelmed with hundreds of emails from the show. If you are one of the people waiting on a headband email me direct with what you want! BQ xo I'll be listing all week
I have a huge announcement about our show Friday morning. I'll be announcing our celebrity guest. I can't sleep I'm so excited! Ready to burst. For me it doesn't get any better than this the ultimate cool- Friday be here.......
I'm honored to be a part of this film with all of these artistic Icons. Christopher will be filming our artistic process along with much more at my upcoming fashion show for this film. Then he'll be photographing Madonna (insert smile). I'm very excited and I also have a special surprise but you have to come to my show to see it! Already 85,000 hits! Very excited to know that people are getting the message. Thanks for sharing our vision!
If your looking for NY fashion week images you will probably not find them here unless Marc Jacobs blows me away. I have to admit I'm feeling rather blasé about New York fashion week and I'm not seeing anything thus far that I can't live without. I'm spoiled by Paris Haute fashion. On a good note I'm loving this new editorial in i-D magazine Check this out-i-D Magazine; models Cara Delevingne, Codie Young, Charlie Bredal, Louise Parker and Magda Laguinge pose for Richard Bush (Trouble Management) Stylist Sarah Richardson selects easy silhouettes from the likes of Saint Laurent, Maison Martin Margiela, Valentino and Jil Sander. For beauty, hair stylist James Rowe and makeup artist Mathias van Hooff create the girls relaxed looks. Casting by Barbara Nicoli & Leila Ananna @ Trouble Management
Over the years I have mentioned on this blog that I have a seriously crazy vintage magazine collection. How they have survived I'll never know. When ever we have moved our helpers have always tried to get me to get rid of them due to the fact the boxes weigh a ton. I stuck to my guns an have held on to them. The only ones I sold were the ones with GIA(Helmut Newton) which fetched over 300.00 each at auction after the bio came out about her life. I have Vogue, Vogue Italia 70's 80's 90's until now, vintage Vogue Belleza, Linea Italiana, Donna, French Vogue Uber rare Vanity magazines from the early eighties too many to name. All the Madonna covers, Princess Diana, Jerry Hall rare Edwardian magazines and 20s' French magazines. My collection starts from 1909 until now. My friend JoAnne Fradkin who was a make-up artist in L.A. gave me her entire collection of 70's and 80's mags as well during the 80's. That added to my pre existing collection made it massive. This issue is one of my favorites and I scanned it today. After watching the new HBO show "In Vogue" I was really inspired especially when they mention Patti Hansen so much. So here is a rare editorial of Patti Hansen December 1977 French Vogue. I googled and didn't see it online. This may be the only scan.
Enjoy

We made this top about 2 months ago. I haven't shown it because I was thinking about keeping it for myself. As I was looking thru the Kirchhoff Collection I instantly thought of it. I love this look and check out those dotted metallic and green sleeves. 20's fabric on the arms with an edwardian base backed in chiffon and mottled dye. Flower accents and metallic cuff detail. Love love love!
These are some photos taken just now from my my private collection. Check out the very rare devil headdress that belonged to a Ziegfeld Girl. The last a vintage Lanvin. I love the mink loungers and the Black Art Deco top has the matching lounging pants. I collect these so email if you are selling anything like them! PS the metallic ruffled top is worn belted and is divine!
Here is a gorgeous photo of my fabulous friend Trish Bright. This was taken at the Historical Society's New Year's Eve party at The Banker's Suite and Ballroom. Trish is wearing a Boudoir Queen hat ,cuff and the lovely cami I just made with the corsage of flowers and feathers that belonged to my Grandmother. She looks stunning. Such style and taste. You can also spot or custom candelabras we made for the Banker Suite. I'm looking forward to taking a vacation there sometime in the near future!
This dress is available now on our website which I'm updating now and on etsy which I'll be updating later this afternoon- Model Rock Royalty Cali Sales Photography Mark Younger-Smith Designs Boudoir Queen
So I'm deep in the land of home decore and arranging all the new loot. I went a little crazy furniture shopping over the weekend. I bought the most divine Biedermeier Dining-Table. It's fabulous. I really had no where to put it(but had to have it) and decided to use it as a sewing table (the horror) The prettiest coolest sewing table I've ever seen. The black bathroom painting has begun! Oh my what an undertaking. We are doing the master bedroom like The Gramercy Park hotel. This bathroom is going to be swank I can't wait. I hope everything is done in time for my birthday. I also went a little crazy buying custom made lingerie and stockings. I'll share about it soon but I think I'm going to go to bed very early as I have a full day. With all the craziness around here Shannon and I started today on an all new collection. If you missed out on the green dress that was in our movie we are making 6 in the same style various colors. That being said please pre order now. It's my best selling design and we are also selling it stores now so contact me if you want one. They go fast. I'm listing lot's of goodies tomorrow so be sure to check back. P.S. In my home I have a butlers pantry like the one in the last photo. I think I'm going to try to capture that vibe cool I think.
