Phillip Carreon was my first boss in 1989 when I worked as a make-up artist for Cassandre 2000/Sebastion Int. Up until I moved to Austin I frequented his fabulous salon Estilo. I try and stop in and say hi when I'm in Los Angeles. He gives the best haircuts. I modeled for him in the 90's. I'll never forget the time he dyed my hair black and gave me the shortest asymmetrical haircut evah! I should post some photos. He looks fabulous and hasn't changed one bit over the years.

THE FINAL YEARS-

By 1930, Casati had amassed a personal debt of $25 million. Unable to satisfy her creditors, her personal possessions were auctioned off. Rumour has it that among the bidders was Coco Chanel. Luisa fled to London, where she lived in comparative poverty. She was rumoured to be seen rummaging in bins searching for feathers to decorate her hair. She died in London on 1 June 1957, and was interred in Brompton Cemetery. The quote "Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety" from Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra was inscribed on her tombstone. She was buried wearing not only her black and leopardskin finery but a pair of false eyelashes. She also shares her coffin with one of her beloved stuffed pekinese dogs. Her tombstone is a small grave marker in the shape of an urn draped in cloth with a swag of flowers to the front. The inscription strangely mis-spells her name as 'Louisa' rather than 'Luisa'. It's a very hard grave to find and despite her fame, wealth and notoriety is very modest compared to the thousands of grand monuments within Brompton Cemetery.

I'm not really into this hobo look. I do like the make-up in the 2nd pic. I used to rock that look in all different colors. Twas fun.....this look reminds me of Hobo Kelly. For those of you who are too young for Hobo Kelly I will share a sample in my final blog for the day. I will be MIA for most of the week so enjoy! Can't we to see my girl on True Blood! For enquiring minds- Random blog entry post names are not the name of my line .....now that's just silly. Everyone knows the name of my line is Boudoir Queen. Also- I have never had a partner or designed "someone else's line" or any other imaginary lines. Furthermore the parties who are involved with buying Boudoir Queen items using alias names for another party to "Pattern and Copy" ? Lets just say it was a bad idea.

I'm going to be outrageous and wear one of my new Cherry Bomb Jackets to the Austin Fashion awards tomorrow. I'm wearing it with a sold metallic lace tap pant and skirt and top mint from the 20's. I'm sure people will freak as this starts at 4:00. I'm going to a pre party ,the event and then an elaborate after party. Should be crazy. Since it's Austin I'm wearing something faboosh plus I feel good in it. It's me!
