This was the Lady Gaga Veronicas show in Austin. What a fabulous night! Boudoir Queen made clothing for this very Avant-garde show. You can see me on the bus with the lovely Veronica's wearing Boudoir Queen Clothing (dress corset and cuffs) I'm reminded of this event because the local news just contacted Boudoir Queen Studio's to ask about Lady Gaga's Fashion and a few other things ; ). Of course we will be at her upcoming show in Austin. Enjoy the photos some of which I've never posted before.
For the last few months I've been hinting around about my "New Look" Well today I'm happy to announce that the fabulous Alexandra Valenti will be giving us just that. She's shooting our 2011 lookbook. You may know her from the fabulous photos from The gorgeous Sisters of The Black Moon site. Here are a few of her photos and you can see her gorge website here. I've been wanting to share but things have been a little hectic in case you haven't heard. http://alexandraintheforest.com/
I do love the elements of the line. I'm not crazy about some of the feather placement -Example the red dress. I'm loving the body suits and the ombre fabrics. Image one and the image directly below.... the designs are exquisite!
"with belled sleeves and an obilike belt. The model, newcomer Luisa Bianchin, wore a huge fabric flower in her red frizz and heavy eye makeup that called to mind the imagery of Guy Bourdin. More prints, on silk now, followed for halter dresses and strapless jumpsuits slit high enough on the thigh to reveal the models' briefs. (Sorry, breast men, the bust's brief resurgence as the reigning erogenous zone looks to be over already; 2011, we promise you, will be the summer of the hot pant.)
There was a satin interlude, an ode to Missoni's zigzag knits, and voluminous peasant dresses with a Rive Gauche air. The girls wore gold glitter platforms, and carried clutches or chain-link shoulder bags small enough to fit comfortably in their hands. Their wide-brimmed straw hats were straight out of Taxi Driver."
This was our last show- all garments are patterned and constructed by BOUDOIR QUEEN this is not re-vamped vintage. All fabrics are vintage textiles. You will see our fabulous Justine in our upcoming show!
Me-Photo By Steven Arnold 1989 L.A. Weekly Boudoir Queen Photo Taken by Steven Arnold 1989 A few days ago I received an apology about snarky remarks left on my blog. Just as I thought a certain person put this unknowing person up to it.This is part of the ongoing harassment I've had to endure over the past few years. I'm not going to post the letter. I thought it interesting she mentioned she thought my designs were clearly inspired by early Alexander McQueen Designs. I thought this would be a good blog topic and a chance to talk about my true mentor. As much as I liked Alexander McQueen I can say without a doubt he was never an inspiration for Boudoir Queen designs. Steven Arnold has always been my inspiration along with the Art Dolls. Working with Steven was the most creative period of my life thus far. I love the photos below and I even see some Gaga in his Luminouos Procuress movie. Photo below-Steven and Dali
The shoot was glorious today. Lot's more pictures coming tomorrow! The dress is available on Etsy with other new items take a peek. xox BQ

A fabulous client of mine who lives in Sydney wanted a custom Boudoir Queen dress to wear to a fabulous wedding this spring. She liked the recent off-white pearl encrusted bustle and the matching dress we had listed on ETSY. We both agreed the the off white would probably not be appropriate for a guest to wear to the wedding. Below is the fabulous dress and bustle. Story continued below

After several discussions Inger told me that she loved the colors teal and red and adored the vibe of the THEDA BARA Cherry Bomb Jacket and Cloche'. Below
After a good nights sleep I woke up and thought why not revamp the off-white Dress and Bustle and go full tilt Theda Bara Cherry Bomb style? So we did and I'm glad we did . It's gorgeous! Inger, I hope you have an amazing time at the wedding. I'm certain you will be the best dressed guest! Special thanks to the BQ Team! Comments are welcome! These pics were taken a few months back. No make-up in the early morning. Serious fashion talk goin on LOL! I'm wearing under my coat a rare 1950's Dior lime green tunic that was given to me by a boyfriend in 1987-I love it and I can't believe I still wear it. * Note the flower in my hand too funny.
Sadly,I didn't go out this year for Halloween- We are finishing a custom order and I'm preparing for a shoot and a show this week. Shannon and her friend Jill along with Brandi decided to pop over. These were taken Friday night. Shannon and Jill were preparing their Halloween costumes and wanted to show me how they were coming along. Jill is going to be Like My Little pony (unicorn) purple curly hair and such. Shannon (The Tin Girl) We took some silly pics-the nite did lead to a lesson in Break Dancing. I decided to leave those picture out. As you can see I decided to take their costumes and try them on. I think they will kill me for posting as they were not made up but we had a great time!
